Khulna City Corporation ((ベンガル語:খুলনা সিটি কর্পোরেশন) - in short: KCC), Khulna Municipality established in 1884, is one of the major divisional city corporations of Bangladesh. Before its establishment as city corporation, it was a municipal corporation in 1984. Current mayor of KCC is Md. Moniruzzaman Moni who was advocated by Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) succeeded by Talukder Abdul Khaleque who was in power for 5 years (2008–13). Basically, Khulna City Corporation is a formation under the local government administration of Bangladesh to regulate the city area of Khulna, which is under the Ministry of Local Government & Rural Development (LGRD). Currently the minister of LGRD ministry is Sayed Ashraful Islam.〔http://www.lgd.gov.bd/〕 Generally under local government, an election is held to elect a mayor of Khluna City Corporation. This election is held in every 5 years. Khulna City Corporation is self-governing organizations, which runs on its own.
